Our History
At HomCo today, we carry on the family's tradition of expert knowledge, service and craftsmanship at HomCo Lumber & Hardware – Flagstaff's hometown hardware store. We were originally founded as "Odds-N-Ends" in 1975 by the late Don Brackin and then passed down to his son Mike until 2023. We are northern Arizona's leading authority on the home improvement industry. From professional contractor sales to retail offerings and services, HomCo Lumber & Hardware has the solutions to all of your home building, remodeling and repair needs.
In 1990, we joined the Ace Hardware franchise, and ever since then we've been able to offer our customers the most comprehensive selection of tools found in any store throughout northern Arizona. From top-of-the-line power drills to specialty tools that are hard to come by, HomCo Lumber & Hardware will likely have the tools you're looking for in stock, and if you can't find it on the shelf, one of our expert staff members will gladly special order it for you. We've also grown our Professional Contractor Sales Department over the years to include 10 experts who help our professional contractor customers manage all aspects of a project from start to finish. In February of 2013, HomCo Ace Hardware became HomCo Lumber & Hardware. With this new name came other important steps forward for HomCo Lumber & Hardware, such as placing more focus on the evolving needs of our retail, construction and commercial/industrial customers.
