This 50 ft drinking water hose is designed for a variety of fresh water supply needs on a boat or an RV. Made according to the standards of the Safe Drinking Water Act and California's standards for phthalate-free products, it doesn't add chemical odors or tastes to water. However, for the best results, we recommend that you rinse the inside of the hose with 2 to 3 gal of drinking water before the first use.
