Fortunately, Halloween presents the perfect opportunity to get down on the floor and make something with our hands; it will be fun for everyone involved, and the end result can even be used to decorate the house.
If you think we’re talking about pumpkin carving, you’re not too far off. But unlike the traditional activity of the season, this particular project won’t involve scooping out any pumpkins. Today, we’re breaking down a clean and easy pumpkin project with all the fun of carving pumpkins and none of the mess.

- A hammer
- Adult supervision
Step #1: Get Your Materials Sorted
Go to HomCo and chat with one of our service counter team members to pick up your Young Builders' Project kit. You can also get a pumpkin and use leftover hardware you may have lying around the house!
Step #2: Let Your Imagination Run Wild
Scatter your hardware around to see what you have, and let your imagination run wild. Attach the pieces of hardware to the pumpkin with glue, or use a hammer if you need it (hence the adult supervision).
You can give it eyes, hair, and many different features using the hardware in creative ways.
