How To Prepare Snow Blowers For Summer Storage
- Stabilize your pump gas. Dump about half of a fuel stabilizer bottle into a fresh tank of gas. Run your snow blower for about 10-15 minutes, so it circulates all the way through. This way, your snow blower will be ready to go the next time it snows, and no gunk will have built up.
- If you don’t have room to store your snow blower in a covered garage, be sure to use a snow blower cover when it is not in use. A cover will extend the life of your snow blower in our Arizona sun!
How To Prepare Chainsaws For Summer Use
- The most important thing is your fuel. Safely dump the gas in there if it’s not fresh and has degraded.
- Make sure your chain is sharp and lubricated correctly.
- Check your air filter for dust and debris.
- If you need a new air filter, spark plug or fuel filter, we sell STIHL Service Kits at HomCo. STIHL Service Kits are great to have on hand for last-minute power equipment fixes!
How To Prepare Leaf Blowers For Summer Use
- Check to make sure your fuel is good and hasn’t degraded over the winter months.
- Ensure there are no leaves or twigs in the outside fan area to continue to operate correctly.
- Use a STIHL Service Kit to clean the air filter if needed.
How To Prepare Trimmers For Summer Use
- Check to make sure your fuel is good and hasn’t degraded over the winter months.
- Check your cutting implements for wear and tear. The trimmer head, line and deflector should be in proper working order to keep you safe!
