Patio Door:

We carry a few patio doors here at HomCo Lumber and Hardware, but the process of purchasing and installing a door isn’t as simple as coming in and walking out with a new door. There are some things you have to consider before you get a patio door like the dimensions of your doorway, what accessories you want, and the design of your patio door. Luckily, the associates in our Building Material Center will be able to help you with ordering the patio door that best suits your needs. We do have some on display for you to look at, but the majority of our options are available online through special order.

While we do carry patio doors and a few screen door unit replacements, we are unable to do repairs. HomCo Lumber and Hardware will be more than willing to rescreen your intact patio door, but we cannot repair the screen door itself, and we cannot perform patio door glass replacement. The Building Material associates recommend getting a new patio door if you need to replace the glass, as there are no specialized patio-door glass cutters in Flagstaff that they are aware of. However, if you received the patio door from us, it is easy for us to order the door again, as it is already in our system. If you also need to replace only the screen hardware, it is easy for us to get the item to the store for you. As for purchasing a door, it is important to have the measurements before you order the door. HomCo Lumber and Hardware doesn’t offer a patio door installation service, so either come in with your measurements, or have the party doing the replacement get those measurements. A patio door is no good if it doesn’t fit, and we want to save your time and money, so make sure to get those measurements before you order.

Patio Door Hardware:

We do carry some replacement hardware at HomCo Lumber and Hardware. Anything we have in stock will be located on aisle 11B. Such hardware includes wheels, handles, and locks for screen doors. We also carry entire screen door replacements for some specific brands. Though we only carry a few screen door lock and handle replacements, if you aren’t seeing the part that you need, and you purchased your patio door here at HomCo, we can special order the part for you. Just head over to the Building Material Center and our associates can help you get the part you need. Unfortunately, if you did not get your patio door here at HomCo, we may not be able to get you the specific part. Again, ask the BMC associates. We will help you to the best of our ability.

What determines if we can get a part or not is if we work with the manufacturer that produces the door. If we have sold their products before, we can get the product, so long as they are still in business. If not, then there is a chance we can’t get the item in. Patio doors do not have a general standard. Different manufacturers make different patio doors that all have their own measurements, parts, and replacements. Due to this wide variety of brands and measurements, not many of the parts go with different brands. It is a complicated issue, which means that, though we carry a few items, you may not be able to find anything you can use in-store. This is why we have our helpful associates in the Building Material Center Department. They know about the many brands we are able to receive, and how to get the parts for your patio door.
