What You’ll Need for This Project
- Piece of wood
- Random hardware
- Glue gun and/or hammer
Step #1: Lay Out a Piece of Wood
Lay your board flat on the ground or table. This will be the backing of your self-portrait.
Step #2: Arrange Hardware On Wood
Get creative laying out your random pieces of hardware. Try experimenting with the placement of each piece to find out what body feature they best represent!
Step #3: Attach Hardware
Once you have decided on the placement of your hardware begin attaching each piece to the board. Depending on the piece, you may consider using wood glue, hot glue, or a hammer.
Step #4: (Optional) Decorate!
Take your self-portrait to the next level with anything else you have laying around your home. Paint the eyes any color to match your own, add yarn for hair, and paint on freckles if you want! It is up to you!
